Leadership

AYISE’s leadership boasts a breadth of technical and organisational development skills that include numerous qualifications in marketing, business administration and NGO management. This brings together the skills and extensive experience, strong, foresighted and visionary leadership capacity, and a real passion for social and international enhancement which is reflected in the leaderships determination and commitment to AYISE’s values and mission.

Marcel Chisi is at the helm of the leadership of AYISE serving as its current Executive Director. Before holding the appointment of the Executive Director, Marcel Chisi though founder was humble enough to leave the leadership to other people such that he initially accepted to hold the position of Publicity Secretary of AYISE from October 1995 to July 1997. At that time, the leadership title of the AYISE was President.

In August 1997, he was appointed President of AYISE a title which he held until December 1998.

In January 1999, the leadership title changed to Executive Director. He has hence served as AYISE's Executive Director to date.

Marcel Chisi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Cyprus Institute of Marketing. He also holds a Post graduate Certificate in NGO Management from the University of London.

He has served as a Board member for National Youth Council of Malawi, Capacity Building Unit for NGOs, NGO Board of Malawi and the Development Broadcasting Unit of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation.

He also serves on a number of grant making bodies as a proposal review team member including the Gender Equality Support Project of the Canadian International Development Agency. (CIDA)
