AYISE MEMBERSHIP

AYISE was founded as a membership organisation and remains that way to this day. Have your say on our forum for membership and others.

In the early years of the organisation, there was a single block of membership only. Following the 2002 Annual General Meeting, the organisation resolved to maintain four categories of membership. These were reflected as full-time members, affiliate members, associate members and corporate members.

Benefits of Membership - click here to find out what benefits members experience
  1. Attendance at local, national, regional and international meetings, workshops and conferences.
  2. Free access to information from our resource centre on Youth Development, HIV and AIDS and AYISE’s other programme areas.
  3. Members become primary agents of employment for AYISE’s programme work. Adverts for employment are first circulated to AYISE membership. If no candidates meet the requirements, the vacancy is opened to the general public.
  4. Participation in AYISE’s funded and non-funded programmes which present opportunities to develop new skills and carry out personal resource mobilisation.

AYISE’s decision to become a membership organisation has been hugely beneficial to both the membership and organisation. Members can network with international volunteers, apply for youth exchange placements abroad and develop their competency in different skills.

AYISE benefits from approximately 300 active full time members, all of whom want to contribute towards the positive development of the organisation and the nation as a whole. Each of these individuals, along with AYISE’s broader membership categories roughly has 2000 members. Members are advocates for AYISE’s objectives, and therefore advocates for positive social changes/ reforms in Malawi
